The PT100 temperature sensor is used optionally for registering the ambient temperature close to the sample and prior to a measurement with the Hot Disk® instrument. It is especially useful when using a TCU as the sample temperature might differ from that registered by the integrated TCU thermometer. Note that this PT100 temperature sensor is not used for automatic temperature control of our TCU units.
The PT100 sensor is connected to the PT100 temperature sensor input of the Hot Disk® instrument, and it can be used down to -80°C and up to 250°C.
