Bath Circulator Bath with Sample Holder

This floor-standing bath circulator uses a refrigeration system with EU-approved, Propene (A45) coolant medium for cooling, and an electrical heating element for heating. The bath circulator has a corrosion-resistant stainless steel reservoir of 12 liters for the bath volume. The box-shaped working area of this temperature vessel is 6 liters.

The temperature vessel is accessed from the top side via a removable lid opening. A top-loading insert with a floor stand, which is tailored for the vessel, is included. It is to be used with our dedicated sample holders with bracket handle that we offer for different sample types (solids, liquids, frozen etc.). A wheel platform to the bath circulator is also available, allowing for easy mobility in the laboratory. The vessel temperature range depends on the bath liquid. For example, using SIL 180 silicone oil that we offer, it spans -40°C to 200°C. The temperature stability in turn is ±0.01°C.

The bath circulator is intended to be used with our Kapton- or Teflon-insulated Hot Disk® or Hot Strip sensors with silicone-clad cables.

This bath circulator is automatically controlled via the Hot Disk Desktop App over USB communication. The Hot Disk Desktop App can be programmed to automatically perform a series of measurements with the Hot Disk instrument at multiple vessel temperatures.

Other Temperature Control Units (TCUs)

Hot Disk Continuous-Flow Cryostat (78 K to RT)
  • New
Continuous-Flow Cryostat
-195°C (78 K) to Room Temperature

This floor-standing cryostat uses a continuous flow of liquid nitrogen from a storage dewar for cooling, and a resistive wire element for heating. The system consists of four separated parts: a cylindrically shaped vacuum chamber, with a liquid nitrogen vessel on top, both integrated into a floor-stand; a temperature control unit; a turbomolecular pump; and a self-pressurized dewar.

PT100 Temperature Sensor
-80°C to 260°C

The PT100 temperature sensor is used optionally for registering the ambient temperature close to the sample and prior to a measurement with the Hot Disk® instrument. It is especially useful when using a TCU as the sample temperature might differ from that registered by the integrated TCU thermometer. Note that this PT100 temperature sensor is not used for automatic temperature control of our TCU units.
