Our Head Office
The Hot Disk AB Head Office, located at the Johanneberg Science Park on the Chalmers University of Technology campus in Gothenburg, Sweden, has among its priorities the development of our company products and services. Here we have a perennially active R&D group as regards both our hardware and software, including support functions for our agents and clients.
Welding a strong alloy over time, our team – beyond its Swedish contingent – today includes experts from China, South Korea, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Russia. Several have stayed on after completing their Master’s degrees under the aegis of the IAESTE student exchange program, which program Hot Disk has long sponsored. Others have combined their Ph.D. work at our neighboring Chalmers University of Technology, with which we retain a longstanding, symbiotic, and mutually reinforcing relationship. It has been Hot Disk AB’s conviction that seeking a diversity of backgrounds, languages and competences in our core staff would over time serve to strengthen our products and services. Our highly-educated staff have assisted our goal of offering regular Training Sessions, virtual as well as on-site, to a wide range of clients with different language backgrounds. They have also been instrumental in developing our capacity to promptly provide in-depth and timely support for our global clients.

We have been honored, since the spring of 2021, to work with venerable Orton Ceramic Foundation of Columbus, Ohio, as one of our two distributors in the USA. Orton also holds stock of Hot Disk equipment to facilitate rapid delivery to our US clients. Dr. Artem Trofimov has recently joined Orton as a Product Specialist in their Instrument Department. Artem’s prior expertise in using Hot Disk instruments is helpful to our customers in the USA, who naturally expect prompt feedback within their respective time zones. Artem, whose position is co-funded by Hot Disk AB in Sweden, has a background at the Oak Ridge National Lab, which have long since employed Hot Disk instruments as one of their standards for measuring thermal transport properties.
