The sensor interface consists of a stainless steel and Macor ceramic housing with a slot for sliding in the sensor. A pressure connection between the sensor contacts and the sensor wire ends is made by torque screws on the back side of the housing. The four sensor wires are insulated with ceramic ring pellets capable of handling 1000°C+ ambient temperatures, and at their other end they are connected to our grey-colored polymer-clad sensor cable. Note that the latter can only handle 50°C, wherefore if this sensor interface is to be used in a temperature chamber, the wires with ceramic ring pellets need to be fed through and extend outside the temperature chamber.
The length of the sensor wires with ceramic ring pellets are by default 1.5 m long but can be made shorter or longer upon request.
