Planning for ITCC / ITES 2026 is well underway, and we are proud to be co-hosting this year’s conference together with The Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation.

Taking place in Columbus, Ohio, September 29 – October 1, 2026, the conference brings together a highly focused international community working with thermophysical properties and thermal measurement techniques.

The Hot Disk® method is now further strengthened through the publication of the ASTM E3088-25 standard. ASTM E3088-25 defines the use of the Transient Plane Source method for measuring thermal transport properties in solid materials and represents a further development of the previously established ISO-22007-2 and ISO-22007-7 international standards.

Our users can now directly measure the through-plane Thermal Effusivity of bulk and layered samples with high accuracy using our Hot Disk® or Hot Strip® sensors. This module is tailored to test low thermally conducting soft/flexible materials, such as textiles, fabrics, and cushioning. It is also useful for testing higher thermally conductive samples such as thermal interface materials.
